Herbal Courses - What They Offer

Find Herbal Courses in the United States and Canada. Herbal courses offer a variety of learning platforms where students can gain introductory and comprehensive knowledge in medical herbalism, herbal consulting and family herbalism.

Depending on independent schools and colleges, herbal courses may provide opportunities for varying levels of certification and degrees. For example, if you are more interested in attaining a general overview of herbology for personal use, then basic herbal courses might be ideal for you. Herbal courses that are designed with the degree-oriented students in mind will cover more in-depth education and practical training in herbology; including studies in anatomy and physiology, herbal history, herbal medicine theories and philosophy, herbal remedies and therapeutics, pharmacognosy, pathology and holistic approaches to healthcare.

Extroverts And Introverts

Extroverts and Introverts! – Materialist and idealist! – Everyone is either of the two! And some are a bit of both!

The extrovert is usually the one who attains his goal, and gets what he is after, for his eye is always focused on what is outside of himself, namely, his goal and his chosen means to get there! He is also the materialist, preferring material or monetary reward for his efforts to those of a “more subtle nature” and of “undefinable origin”, like his development in educational and/or professional or other talents, as a sudden advancement of newly – discovered appreciation in for instance, art or literature etc. His attainment and its solid rewards, like money and the things it bought for him, rule supreme, and once achieved, are there to be lived for and enjoyed!

Growing Your Own Hydroponics Garden - Introduction To Hydroponics Gardening

Hydroponics gardening becomes more and more popular these days. Some consider it miraculous. But what is hydroponics gardening after all? How does this system work? Why is it considered more convenient and more successful than classic gardening (geoponics)? What are the advantages and disadvantages of growing your own hydroponics garden? Here are some answers to the questions above.

With hydroponics you can grow plants (fruits, vegetables, flowers etc.) using water and mineral nutrients instead of soil. The idea behind hydroponics gardening is to provide the plants with all the nutrients they need to absorb, without using soil. Besides, soil is just a nutrient reservoir and its not critical to the plant growth.

Strange Footprints In The Forest

Many years ago my hubby and I were out hiking with a friend through a part of the Daniel Boone National Forest in the north eastern part of Kentucky. It was a really beautiful late Spring day when we were all wandering through looking at the various species of plant life, and occasionally getting a glimpse of some animal life in the area.

Let me give you an idea of this history of Kentucky before I go any further with my story. First of all, the name Kentucky comes from at least a couple of native American Indian dialects. Can-tuck, or Can-tuck-ke, which means “the Dark and Bloody Ground”. NO native tribes ever lived in the Dark and Bloody ground. This is/was the land where spirits and super-natural creatures dwelt.

Scrapbooking Heals - Scrapbooking As A Healing Instrument To Overcome Loss

It is terrible to lose a family member (or in some cases pets) and most of us have had to suffer such a loss. Everyone grieves differently. Some people can express their grief and overcome it quicker than others who find it difficult to grieve and express their feelings. What I have found, is that it scrapbooking can help heal when suffering a loss. It can provide a little bit of closure and help you to grieve in a more productive way, because what you’re doing with scrapbooking is not only displaying photos, you are telling a story, talking about your feelings and sharing your pain, even if you don’t show it to anyone.

Lizard Pest Control

Many gardeners wish to get rid of lizards because they are frightened by them or feel they are a nuisance. We feel it would be best to leave the lizards alone. They are not eating your plants and they rarely speak out of turn. That said, it’s your garden and if you don’t want the lizards it’s my job to tell you how to make them go away. Let’s just agree that we will make them go away unharmed. Okay?
